Coordination

The coordination project brings together the research group’s six subprojects under a common research question, develops formats for collaboration, and manages the group’s organisational matters. The group’s collaborative work is characterised by two elements: Firstly, the research is structured around three overarching themes: autonomy, responsibility and control. Secondly, the group is united by an overarching guiding principle, namely the development of a ‘more responsive’ legal doctrine. The coordination project creates shared spaces for reflection and links the subprojects in terms of content. It holds regular internal peer group meetings, organises dynamic clusters on current topics and is responsible for cross-subproject events. These include our lunchtime seminars, lectures by (visiting) academics, and the organisation of academic conferences. The coordination project is also responsible for the group’s public relations work, coordinates open-access publications, and ensures equal opportunities as well as the compatibility of family life and academic careers within the group.
