Call for Papers
The research unit invites early-career researchers from all relevant disciplines to submit proposals for the international conference 'Legal and Social Consequences of Artificial Decision Making'. The event focuses on innovative research contributions addressing the core themes of autonomy, control, and responsibility.
Interested applicants are welcome to submit their abstract by September 30th, 2026.
The conference will take place in Münster from March 11th to 12th, 2027.

1st International Conference of the Research Unit "Legal and Social Consequences of Artificial Decision Making"
From 11th to 12th March 2027, the first international conference of the DFG Research Unit 5906 will take place in Münster.
The event addresses how machine decision-making fundamentally changes law and society, focusing on the core concepts of autonomy, control, and responsibility through an interdisciplinary exchange.
The conference will feature contributions from renowned international experts, including:
