Homiletische Horizonte

Abstract

Predigt und Text(e) gehören zusammen. Insbesondere im protestantischen Kontext, als einer Kirche des Wortes, kommt dieser Verbindung eine identitätsstiftende, konfessorische Bedeutung zu. Doch wie kann diese Anbindung und Bezugnahme heute gelingen und kann der exegetische Methodenkanon, der hierzulande auch weiterhin eine zentrale Rolle für diese Verbindung spielt, dabei überhaupt noch etwas aus- und beitragen? Diese Fragen werden vor einem weiten homiletischen Horizont hermeneutisch diskutiert und praktisch erschlossen.

Preaching and the sacred text(s) exist in a covenantal bond. Within the Protestant tradition, as a Church of the Word, this interrelation assumes a formative and distinctly confessional significance. It remains to be considered how this covenant might today be renewed, and how its reciprocal significance can be revealed. Can the canon of exegetical methods, which in this context continues to occupy a central place in sustaining this interrelation, still offer substantive resources and make a meaningful contribution? These questions are pursued within an expansive homiletical horizon, where hermeneutical reflection opens into the work of practical proclamation.
