Oder: Ein Forschungsbericht zur Neuentdeckung der notae ecclesiae als Vektoren für Wirksamkeitsplanung in der Kirchenentwicklung

Abstract

Der Beitrag setzt an bei der multiplen Vertrauenskrise gegenüber der verfassten römisch-katholischen Kirche. Studien aus Empirie und synodaler Ekklesiologie verweisen auf ein bestimmtes Kriterium für die Rückgewinnung von öffentlichem Vertrauen: die Gemeinwohlwirksamkeit der Kirche. Dieses Kriterium wird ausführlich systematisch-theologisch und kurz sozialwissenschaftlich geprüft. Das Ergebnis: Die bekannte Lehre der notae ecclesiae kann sozialontologisch neu entdeckt und pastoralplanerisch operationalisiert werden, indem man die notae als Vektoren für Gemeinwohlwirksamkeit modelliert.

The article begins with the multiple crisis of confidence in the Roman Catholic Church. Empirical studies and synodal ecclesiology point to a specific criterion for regaining public trust: the Church's effectiveness in promoting the common good. This criterion is examined in detail from a systematic theological perspective and briefly from a social science perspective. The result: the well-known doctrine of notae ecclesiae can be rediscovered in terms of social ontology and operationalised in pastoral planning by modelling the notae as vectors for effectiveness in the common good.
