M. Sc.LeoSteffen PhD student Leo studied chemistry at the Free University of Berlin and received his BSc in the group of Sebastian Hasenstab-Riedel. During his Bachelor studies, he worked on polyhalogenides and fluorinated compounds. He completed his MSc on phosphabaralenes in 2025 under the supervision of Christian Müller. Since October 2025, he works as a PhD student at the University of Münster supported by a Kekulé Fellowship. His research focuses on heavier ketyl radical anions and their application in the activation of small molecules.
M. Sc.KristinWulff PhD student Kristin studied chemistry at the Ruhr-University Bochum and received her BSc in 2023 in the group of Viktoria Däschlein-Gessner. During her Bachelor studies Kristin worked on the synthesis of phosphorus compounds under inert conditions. In October 2023 she started her Master studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum and joined the Eckhardt-lab. In September 2025 she finished her Master thesis within the Group. In November she started her PhD in a joint project with Szych group in Münster.
JeremyDavis M. Sc. Student Jeremy studied chemistry at Heidelberg University and received his BSc in the group of Lutz Greb. During his Bachelor studies, he worked on photoswitchable boron Lewis acids. In October 2024, he started his Master studies at University of Muenster. He joined the Szych Group to conduct his Master thesis during summer term 2026. His research focuses on the synthesis of novel phosphane ligand systems and their applications in coordination chemistry towards catalysis.
FranziskaNeuhaus Student Franny is working as a student assistant in the group. Her project focusses on the synthesis and redox activity of phosphorus ligand systems.
CharlotteSchlebusch Student Charlotte studied chemistry at the University of Münster and received her BSc in the group of Line Næsborg. During her Bachelor studies, she worked on catalyst-free photo-induced Diels-Alder reactions. In April 2025, she started her Master studies at the University of Münster. She joined the Szych Group for a research internship in early 2026. Her research focuses on the investigation of potassium phosphino phosphides and their reactivity towards small molecules.
HendrikWellmann Student Currently, Hendrik is working as a student assistant in the group. His project focusses on reactions yielding thioesters and thioketones.
