Summer Lecture Series of the Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies

In the summer semester, the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies warmly invites all interested parties to its summer lecture series.

Across four dates, the series offers exciting insights into a broad range of current topics in Islamic Studies.
The lectures begin at 6:15 PM and take place at the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Schlaunstraße 2 (Room RS 225, 2nd floor).

The series opens on 29 April 2026 with a lecture by Dr Vicky Ziegler entitled:
"Gold lust and piety? On the aims of alchemists in the Arabic alchemical work 'The Book of the Garden' (c. 10th century)."
