Guided tour of the collection of the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies will offer a guided tour of its collection. Starting at 4:00 PM  (sharp), participants will have the opportunity to explore selected objects from the institute’s holdings.

The Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies houses a collection of currently (as of November 2025) around sixty historical objects from the Islamic world. The collection includes, among other items, Qur’an fragments and complete Qur’ans spanning a period of 1,000 years, several manuscripts on theology, philosophy, and rhetoric, Egyptian gravestones from the ninth and tenth centuries, as well as metal objects that have found their way to the institute through various paths.
