Technology services of the University of Münster

The University of Münster is a future-oriented institution of higher education. With innovations and inventions, its researchers contribute to the economic and social development of North-Rhine Westphalia and beyond. Inventions created at the University of Münster are evaluated in coordination with PROvendis GmbH, a University subsidiary and one of Europe’s largest service providers in the area of IP management and technology transfer. Each invention is assessed by PROvendis GmbH on the basis of legal protective, technological and economic criteria, then registered with the patent office and subsequently marketed. 

Many of these inventions hold substantial economic potential which is tapped through licensing agreements or the sale to enterprises and put into practice. Some of these inventions have even resulted in the creation of new companies by members of the University of Münster.
