An invitation to research together
The University of Münster has gained years of experience in conducting a variety of citizen science projects. These include many different types of sometimes unconventional research collaborations with innovative formats and forms of participation, featuring apps and paper, in the field and in the archive, and always with a co-creative approach that benefits everyone involved.
In keeping with the motto “Creating knowledge together”, we invite anyone who is interested and curious to research with us. Ask your questions and probe deeply to find the answers. Bring your perspective, your knowledge and expertise to the table! Help shape research and the conversation around it! Expand your own horizons!
The same applies to all researching staff of the University of Münster. You, too, are invited to take advantage of and discover the citizen-science research approach and its potential for your discipline and research topic. The Rectorate is convinced that this approach can be applied to and can benefit all faculties at the University of Münster.
The following overview, which is by no means exhaustive, presents citizen science projects currently underway at the University of Münster. If you would like to participate or are interested in sharing your experience with colleagues, please feel free to contact the respective project heads.
We are especially pleased if these projects inspire you and help spark new ideas of your own.
The members of the 'Citizen Science working group' and the staff at the AFO are always available to offer advice and support.
