Vocational college education (BA BK – General Education/professional qualification)
The University of Münster cooperates with FH Münster in the field of vocational college teacher training. Candidates are required to major in a General Education subject and Educational Studies at the University of Münster and a professional qualification subject at FH Münster.
In your application, you should therefore apply for a University of Münster subject and a FH Münster subject. The subject Educational Studies is automatically selected for you.

When applying for admission to a BA BK degree programme via the Application Portal, you must indicate all of your desired subject combinations A non-restricted subject can be exchanged to another non-restricted subject at the enrolment process.
If you choose only non-restricted subjects, you may enrol without applying for admission. Please note the deadlines.
Vocational College Education (ZFB – two General Education subjects)
If you would like to teach two General Education subjects at a vocational college, enter "Two-subject bachelor's" in the Application Portal and choose two subjects from the following list:
- Biology
- Catholic Religious Studies (non-restricted)
- Chemistry
- Dutch (non-restricted)
- Educational Science
- English (i.e. English Studies/American Studies)
- French (non-restricted)
- German Studies
- Islamic Religious Studies (non-restricted)
- Mathematics (non-restricted)
- Music/Music Practice and New Media (aptitude test required, non-restricted)
- Physics (non-restricted)
- Protestant Religious Studies (non-restricted)
- Social Sciences
- Spanish (non-restricted)
- Sport and Physical Education (aptitude test required, non-restricted)
The combination of the following subjects does not lead to a teaching qualification and therefore not to admission to the Master of Education for vocational college education:
- Dutch, Educational Science, Music/Music Practice and New Media and Sport and Physical Education
When applying for admission to a two-subject vocational college bachelor's degree programme via the Application Portal, you must indicate all of your desired subject combinations. A non-restricted subject can be exchanged to another non-restricted subject at enrolment.
If you choose two non-restricted subjects, you may enrol without applying for admission. Please note the deadlines.
