2008 Award of the Dr. Ewald Hibbeln foundation of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz for an advanced seminar thesis on “The battle of Myriokephalon (1176) and the address dispute between Manuel I Komnenos and Frederick I Barbarossa” (in German)
