Curriculum Vitae:

Born in Hamburg in December 1965. 1985-1992: Student of Economics at the Fernuniversität Hagen (distance learning university) parallel to my military service and vocational training to become a banker. 1989-1993: Student of Law in Heidelberg and Cambridge. 1992: Dipl.-Ökonom (economist university degree); First and Second State Examination in 1993 and 1995. 1995-2001: Scientific assistant at the Institute of German and European company law and commercial law (chair of Prof. Dr. Peter Ulmer). 1998: Ph.D., stock corporation law question. 2001-2002: Professorial fellow of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation). In July 2002: Postdoctoral lecture qualification, conferred by the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg, with a dissertation on option contracts; teaching authorisation for civil law, commercial law, company law, capital market law and business law. Since winter semester 2003-2004: Following positions as acting professor in Heidelberg and Münster, holder of the chair of civil law, banking law and capital market law at the University of Münster. Numerous publications on stock corporation law, capital market law, banking law and civil law. Co-editor of the English internet journal www.germanlawjournal.com. Married, three children.
