Entwicklung der Nanofluidik: Kapillarelektrophorese und ESInanoChip

Kapillarelektrophorese (CE) spielt bei der Entwicklung von neuen Nanotechniken für Massenspektrometrie in Proteomik und Glykoproteomik eine entscheidende Rolle. Die Kompatibilität von CE für die MS Analyse von komplexen Gemischen aus Körperflüssigkeiten, Zellkulturen und Humangewebe wurde implementiert. Die bisher nicht zugänglichen Glykosaminoglykane konnten erstmalig strukturell charakterisiert und in Zusammenarbeit mit Projekt A6 (Prof. Kresse) "Dermatansulfat Proteoglykane" (SFB 492) eingesetzt werden. Mit der Entwicklung der neuen Strategien durch ESInanoChip Robot wird die Perspektive für automatisierte Hochdurchsatzanalysen von komplexen Makromolekülen für die Systembiologie eröffnet. Die dazu erforderliche Software wird im eigenen Arbeitskreis entwickelt.
