Determination of the specific antiphase boundary energy of the L12-ordered g'-phases which strengthen the commercial superalloys NIMONIC PE16 and NIMONIC 105
Single phase single crystals of the g'-phases which strengthen
these superalloys have been slightly deformed. Afterwards thin foils have been prepared and
studied by transmission electron microscopy. From the spacing of superpartials the antiphase
boundary energy is derived. The results are compared with those obtained by other
experimental methods.
