A symposium on infectious disease dynamics and interdisciplinarity.
On July 10th, 2025, IMMIDD hosted the inaugural symposium, kicking off collaborations across multiple scientific disciplines at University of Münster and beyond.
Through scientific talks from international speakers and panel discussions, we discussed the role of infectious disease modeling in the COVID-19 pandemic and how collaboration across scientific disciplines will help us understand the past and prepare for the future.
The program included scientific talks, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
Invited speakers were:
- Mirjam Kretzschmar (UMC Utrecht)
Title: "Challenges for modelling interventions for future pandemics" - Niel Hens (Hasselt University)
