The MEM takes place at the University of Münster, Germany. All talkes will be held in the auditorium of the Schloss – the main University building. Posters will be displayed in the foyer of the Schloss.

You can park your car free of charge at P+R facilities and take the bus (subject to fare) to the conference venue. Buses leave the P+R facilities at the Weseler Straße Mobilstation stop, at Preußenstadion (Hammer Straße) and at Albersloher Weg for the old town at very short intervals every day all year round.

Participants of the MEM will receive a ticket for free use of the local public transport in Münster called the "Willkommen! Ticket". The ticket is valid during all days of MEM. You will receive your ticket upon arrival at the conference venue.
The closest bus stops to the conference venue are Landgericht, Schlossplatz, and Neutor. Bus schedules can be found on the website of the Stadtwerke Münster. There is also a mobile app which helps getting around in Münster: münster:app.
Another nice and practical way to get around in Münster is by bike. Münster has a well developed web of bike paths and the very flat landscape makes the bike a nice alternative to public transportation. There are two "Radstationen" in Münster (one directly in front of the main train station and one in the city center).

There is a plethora of hotels and hostels in Münster where participants of MEM can find accommodations during their stay. However, we have reserved rooms in some of the hotels in walking distance to the Münster Schloss (marked blue on the map above).

The local youth hostel Jugendgäste Haus am Aasee provides affordable accommodation directly at the Aasee lake.
The city of Münster levies an accommodation tax of 4,5% on overnight stays in hotels, appartments, camping sites or similar facilities. Exempt from this tax are overnight stays witch are spend as part of business trips or trips which are essential for an educational or training measure. Please submit a confirmation of participation or registration in your hotel to be exempt of the accommodation tax.
