The Dielmann Group has now officially moved to Universität Innsbruck.

Gruppenfoto Dielmann September 2019

Within the area of molecular inorganic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis we are developing new molecular systems (reactive main group species and transition metal complexes) for the activation and catalytic conversion of particularly inert molecules (CO2, N2, H2, SF6, SO2, …) to make them available as building blocks for chemical reactions.

Students and post-doctoral researchers in the Dielmann group will gain synthetic skills in inorganic, organometallic and organic synthesis (ligand design), and will become experts in air/moisture sensitive manipulations (Schlenk and dry-box techniques). We employ a range of advanced characterization techniques: single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, multinuclear NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry, FT-IR and UV-Vis Spectroscopy, including quantum mechanical (DFT) methods.
