MDC Roundtable

We are delighted that two additional organisations have agreed to participate in this year's roundtable "Migration, Diaspora, Citizenship: Regional Perspectives." Till Wyler von Ballmoos (Theater im Pumpenhaus Münster), Nadine Segadlo (Universität Münster) and Benedikt Kern(Ökumenisches Netzwerk Asyl in der Kirche NRW) will be joined by  Stefan Hüttemann & Jörg Redeker (Modellprojekt Integration) and Jessica Bruckner (Kaktus Münster e. V.). We look forward to a lively discussion and interesting perspectives!

The event is open for everyone and will be followed by a reception at the English Department. We look forward to seeing you there!

MDC Project Day

We warmly invite you to the MDC Project Day on October 27, 2025, starting at 3:00 p.m. in the conference room of the English Department (ES 203, Johannisstr. 12 - 20).

A central part of the programme is a roundtable discussion at 5:15 p.m. in Lecture Hall F5 (Fürstenberghaus, Domplatz 20-22) on “Migration, Diaspora, Citizenship: Regional Perspectives.”

Prior to the roundtable, the programme includes poster presentations by MDC Fellows and the annual report by MDC Director Prof. Dr. Klaus Stierstorfer. The event will conclude with a reception. We look forward to welcoming you.
 

Workshop "Minority Groups in the Ancient World" (MSAC, OIKOS & IDA)

Apply now for an international workshop on "Minority Groups in the Ancient World"! Organised by the Münster School of Ancient Cultures (MSAC), the National Research School in Classical Studies in the Netherlands (OIKOS), and the Interdisziplinäre Doktoratsprogramm Altertumswissenschaften (IDA), Bern, this three-day workshop promises exciting discussions on diversity and inclusion in the Ancient World. MDC Kick-off Event

To celebrate the start of the MDC project, we invited Prof. Nilufer Bharucha (University of Mumbai), Prof. Andreas Fahrmeir (Goethe University Frankfurt), Prof. Azeez Jasim Mohammed AlKarawi (Imam Ja’afar Al-Sadiq University Baghdad), Prof. Helen Schwenken (Osnabrück University) and Dr. Christian Walburg (University of Münster) to participate in a panel discussion on migration, diaspora, and citizenship.
