Motivation

"During my bachelor’s studies, I often questioned to what extent I actually use—or will use—the knowledge gained from lectures, practical courses, and modules. There was often little opportunity to further develop what I had learned and turn it into my own ideas. iGEM now offers the chance to work independently of the university on a self-directed project and to actively apply this knowledge.

In addition, I see iGEM as an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience. From initial planning to execution and ultimately presenting the project, participants go through the entire scientific process together, developing key skills that are essential for their future careers.

I am convinced that the best solutions to complex problems emerge through collaboration. Therefore, teamwork is particularly important to me, as well as the opportunity to build valuable connections and lasting friendships during this time."
