"For me, it is important to develop innovations through biology that help advance our society. iGEM gives me the opportunity to actively work on my own project and contribute my ideas. What motivates me most is that, for the first time, I can accompany a project from start to finish while keeping a clear goal in mind.

This gives me the feeling that I can truly make a difference, while at the same time continuing to grow personally. In particular, the creative process and the wide range of different tasks show me that iGEM is a challenge through which I can develop further.

However, my greatest motivation remains biology itself—with its breathtaking complexity and incredible beauty, which continues to fascinate me again and again."
