Motivation

"For me, there is no single field I want to specialize in. Instead, my focus lies on interdisciplinarity. At the beginning of my academic journey, I started a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, then moved towards biochemistry, wrote my bachelor’s thesis in physical chemistry, and am now studying biotechnology.

Through iGEM, I hope—based on the concept of “learning by doing”—to gain further insights into a field I am not yet very familiar with, while also contributing my expertise from other areas to the project. Additionally, I see this as an opportunity not only to be involved in executing a project, but also, for the first time, to actively participate in its planning."
