Motivation

While the standard study curriculum can be adapted to individual interests, there are rarely opportunities to design and implement a project based on one’s own vision. iGEM provides an ideal platform for this.

Within our iGEM project, we learn what it truly means to plan and carry out independent research in all its facets. In doing so, we gain valuable experience in areas such as funding, research, project design, and the practical implementation of scientific ideas.

Over the course of the project, I hope to build a strong network, develop interdisciplinary skills, and grow both academically and personally. In particular, I aim not only to reproduce the knowledge I have gained during my studies, but also to apply it creatively.
