ERASMUS+ cooperation with Budapest

The primary goal of the visit was to continue the existing professional relationships in the research field of sports games, especially in the area of handball and the trend game QATCH, as well as to discuss other possible new areas of cooperation between the two universities. During his stay, Axel Binnenbruck was able to gain an insight into the methodology of sports games teaching at HUSS and give lessons to students at the host university.
Discussions were held with Dr. Gyöngyvér Lacza, Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation, about the development of the "Healty Campus Project" at FISU. In this context, the Hungarian School Sports Association was also visited regarding a very important school health project.
In addition, the Centre for Sports Nutrition was visited, where Dr. Margita Szilágyi-Utczás, Virág Jenes-Kis and Flóra Szakszon showed the laboratory and its equipment. Together with all foreign students of the fall semester, a Budapest tour took place, which also included the visit of sports events in the region.
The university in Budapest, with its new sports facilities built in 2023 and a wide range of courses and study programs, including in English, offers excellent opportunities for mutual exchange for both teachers and students. Further steps towards future collaboration have been initiated in this regard. Alongside joint research topics and future collaborative publications, a visit by a student group to the University of Münster in 2024 and a return visit by a group from Münster to Budapest in September 2024 are planned.
