Fair and Global Environmental Policy with Prof. Doris Fuchs and Prof. Sabine Schlacke

From 24. – 25. 09. 2018, the Akademie Franz Hitze-Haus, the Akademie Die Wolfsburg and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organize the conference “Umweltpolitik: global und gerecht” (in English: “Environmental Policy: global and fair”) as part of the series “Sozialethik konkret” (translatable as: “Social Ethics in Practice”).
The conference focuses on global, fair and sustainable solutions to key issues such as environment, energy, soil or growth. The ZIN is represented twice at the interdisciplinary event:

ZIN-spokeswoman Prof. Doris Fuchs discusses both post-growth strategies and the idea of “green growth” as models of environmental solutions. Prof. Sabine Schlacke, on the other hand, deals with the necessary elements of a sustainable energy policy.

By discussing these and other topics - such as soil protection or regional climate protection - the event aims to develop “proposals for the concrete design of reform processes and structural changes in the field of environmental policy” (own translation) as well as to “identify open and further questions” (own translation”.
