From 2015 to 2019, Monika Dzialas studied sociology and political science at the University of Hamburg. In 2017 she spent a semester abroad at the University of Bordeaux Montesquieu IV. In her bachelor thesis, she analysed the representation of East Germany in national media. From 2019 to 2022, she studied Media Culture at the University of Bremen. Her master’s thesis deals with media discourses on
menstruation using the example of the medially staged market launch of the menstrual product “Pinky Gloves”. At the same time, she and Prof. Dr. Sigrid Kannengießer investigated the argumentation of the
“Querdenken”-movement during the Covid 19 pandemic. After her studies,
Monika Dzialas completed a journalistic traineeship at the Madsack publishing group in Hanover. Since January 2024, she is working as a research assistant at the Institute of Communication Science at the
University of Münster on the project “BreGoS – Bremen goes Sustainable. A university region on the way to sustainability” focusing on sustainability governance.
