The Institute of Landscape Ecology is situated west of city centre between the castle and the University Hospital. The cathedral is about 10 to 15 minutes by foot.
The institute with its working groups and the seminar and lecture rooms are situated in building Robert-Koch-Str. 28 (floorplan).

Getting here by car
From the south
Interchange Münster-Süd towards Münster. The motorway changes into B 51. Go straight ahead and follow the „Weseler Straße“. At the LVM building (traffic light), turn left onto “Kolde-Ring” (follow the sign towards “Zoo” and “Universitätsklinik”). Cross the bridge across the lake, then turn right at the second traffic light crossing (“Vesaliusweg”). Take the next road to the left (“Pottkamp”) and then turn right again (“Robert-Koch-Str.”) and keep going for another 150m. The institute is situated on the left side of the road.
From the north
Interchange Münster-Nord towards Münster. Go straight on (first „Steinfurter Straße“, later the name changes into „Hindenburgplatz“). After having passed the castle, turn right in front of the “Amtsgericht”. Follow the “Hüfferstraße”. Take the third road to the left and the next to the right. The institute is on the right side of the road.
From the west
Follow the instructions for the north resp. the south
From the east
You are on the B 51. Follow the “Warendorfer Straße” into the city. It frequently changes its name, but just drive straight on until it ends. Turn left onto “Hindenburgplatz”. After having passed the castle, turn right in front of the “Amtsgericht”. Follow the “Hüfferstraße”. Take the third road to the left and the next to the right. The institute is on the right side of the road.
Getting here by plane
The airport Münster/Osnabrück FMO is situated about 20 km north of Münster. There are regularly scheduled busses (lines R51, S50 und D50) going to Münster main station "Hauptbahnhof".
The airport Düsseldorf can be reached by train in about 1.5 to 2 hours by train from Münster.
Getting here by train
The main station "Hauptbahnhof" of Münster is situated east of the city centre. There are regularly scheduled trains in all directions. Please check the homepage of the Deutsche Bahn for details.
Getting here by bus
From Münster main station "Hauptbahnhof" to bus stop "Hüfferstift" take the following bus lines:
line 11 direction Dieckmannstrasse/Gievenbeck Auenviertel leaving from bus stop C1
line 12 direction Heekweg leaving from bus stop B1
line 13 direction Eissporthalle/Technologiepark leaving from bus stop B1
line 14 direction Zoo leaving from bus stop B1
night bus line N80 direction Roxel Hallenbad leaving from bus stop B1

From bus stop "Hüfferstiftung" just cross the road and go back a few meters, take the Robert-Koch-Straße and turn right (still Robert-Koch-Straße). After a few meters, the institute is on the right side of the road.
