The Institute of Landscape Ecology is situated west of city centre close to the Coesfelder Kreuz. The cathedral is about 30 minutes by foot.
The institute with its working groups and the seminar and lecture rooms are situated in building Geo 1.

Getting here by car
From the south
Interchange Münster-Süd towards Münster. The motorway changes into B 51. Go straight ahead and follow the „Weseler Straße“. At the LVM building (traffic light), turn left onto “Kolde-Ring” (follow the sign towards “Zoo” and “Universitätsklinik”). Cross the bridge across the lake, then turn left at the third traffic light crossing (“Coesfelder Kreuz”). Take the next road to the right (“Correnstraße”) and keep going for another 550 m, then turn left (“Heisenbergstraße”). The institute is situated on the right side.
From the north
Interchange Münster-Nord towards Münster. Go straight on (“Steinfurter Straße”). After having passed the third traffic light, turn right onto “Austermannstraße” (signs for Coesfeld/MS-Roxel/MS-Gievenbeck). In the third roundabout traffic take the third exit (“Mendelstraße”). Turn right at the next traffic light (“Correnstraße”) and take the first right (“Heisenbergstraße”). The institute is situated on the right side.
From the west

From the east
You are on the B 51. Follow the “Warendorfer Straße” into the city. It frequently changes its name, but just drive straight on until it ends. Turn right onto “Schlossplatz”. After a few meters, turn left (“Wilhelmstraße”) and turn right after 350 m to stay on Wilhelmstraße. Cross the next traffic light (“Apffelstaedtstraße”). At the following traffic light turn left (“Correnstraße”) and then right (“Heisenbergstraße”). The institute is on the right side of the road.
Getting here by plane
The airport Münster/Osnabrück FMO is situated about 20 km north of Münster. There are regularly scheduled busses (lines R51, S50 und D50) going to Münster main station "Hauptbahnhof".
The airport Düsseldorf can be reached by train in about 1.5 to 2 hours by train from Münster.
Getting here by train
The main station "Hauptbahnhof" of Münster is situated east of the city centre. There are regularly scheduled trains in all directions. Please check the homepage of the Deutsche Bahn for details.
Getting here by bus
From Münster main station "Hauptbahnhof" to bus stop "Mendelstraße" take the following bus lines:
line 4 direction Alte Sternwarte leaving from bus stop C3
line 13 direction Eissporthalle/Technologiepark leaving from bus stop B1
night bus line N85 direction Nienberge leaving from bus stop B2
