Münster University welcomes 200 international students
Münster University welcomes 120 international exchange students for the new summer semester. The International Office of Münster University provided information about studying and living in Münster at a digital welcome event. The majority of the students take part in the Erasmus exchange programme of the European Union. However, so-called "Incomings" from non-European countries also study at the WWU for one or two semesters. Following the welcome week, most of them take part in a one-week intensive language course.
In addition to the exchange students, around 80 international students start in the summer semester and complete their entire Bachelor's, Master's or state examination studies at the University. of Münster. As part of the "Buddy Programme", additional students from Münster University support all international students. For example, in language courses or in getting to know the university and the city - even if much of this can only be done digitally. Erasmus Münster e.V. also offers various formats for networking between German and international students.
Many of the international students are currently still in their home countries, but plan to come to Münster shortly, as soon as the entry regulations and lengthy visa procedures are more relaxed. Around 50 international students are already there.
