Suspicion of unexploded WW II Bombs at Domplatz not confirmed
The university buildings in the evacuation radius remain closed today
On Friday morning, 28 February, two suspected unexploded bombs from the Second World War were uncovered on the cathedral square. Since these were so-called ground detonators, defusing them was not necessary. There are numerous university institutions in the vicinity of the site. The road closures in the city centre were lifted. The university buildings in the evacuation radius remain closed today. The radius includes the Fürstenberghaus with the Archaeological Museum, the Bible Museum, the Juridicum, the University and State Library, the Bispinghof and the House of the Netherlands. Further buildings can be found in this list and on the linked map of the university.
