Information on the further course of the winter semester

(Other rules may apply to students enrolled in degree programmes in the Faculty of Medicine (FB 05) or state examination programmes.)

  • All courses may continue to take place in person. However, instructors must ensure that all content can either be accessed synchronously (hybrid form) or streamed, or that the materials required for skill acquisition are provided and can be used in digital form.
  • If courses are held in person, all participants must follow the 3G rule, maintain minimum distance and wear masks. Please make sure that everyone complies with these requirements.
  • Masks must be worn while taking one’s seat and while seated. If instructors are immunised and can maintain a minimum distance to the plenum, they may remove their mask for the duration of the course/examination.
  • Courses, to which special conditions apply (lab practicals, sport-practical exercises, individual musical and artistic instruction), shall continue in person.
  • For upcoming examinations, we recommend using online formats if possible. We ask the faculties and instructors to assess to what extent written exams can be administered as electronic or online examinations. Should it be necessary to administer written exams in person for content-related reasons, then all participants must follow the 3G rule. Minimum distance must be maintained as much as possible. The faculties are asked to announce their concrete examination formats in an appropriate manner.
  • For oral examinations, the individuals participating in the examination should agree on the format between themselves. In most cases, the use of online formats is recommended. This does not exclude in-person formats as long as conducting them in this manner is feasible for all participants.
  • Conferences, congresses etc. should be moved to digital environments. These may not be held exclusively in person on the premises of the WWU for the remaining weeks of the semester, though hybrid forms are possible.
  • For committee meetings, we reiterate our clear recommendation to hold these in digital form. The respective committee chairperson is responsible for making the final decision on the matter.
