Elisabeth Musch was born in Bonn/Germany in 1977. After passing the Abitur (High School Diploma) she spent one year as an Au pair with a French family in Paris/France. After that, she studied International Tourism in Karlsruhe for two years. From 2000 until 2005 she studied European studies at the University of Osnabrück and the University of Aarhus/Denmark. She combined her major subject political science with the two minors of sociology and law as well as English and French as foreign languages. At the University of Aarhus she also participated in courses inCultural Studies. During her studies she worked as a student assistant and graduate assistant at the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Osnabrück. After graduation she worked as a research assistant at the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Osnabrück. Here she contributed to a project on welfare state reform policies. Elisabeth Musch is interested in studies on migration and immigrant integration, comparative political research, state-society-relations and welfare state research.
