Setting up WLAN under iOS
- You have installed at least iOS 8.
To use the Wi-Fi of the WWU a profile is required. Otherwise it is not possible to do the setup correctly. (Specifically, this is about the definition of the "external identity".)
If you used the network wwu or eduroam in the past, you have to delete the previous settings or the profiles. Check therefore whether you have made the adjustment before by hand or profile and remove it.
- To download the profile, you can use our guest Wi-Fi GuestOnCampus.
If necessary: Remove existing Wi-Fi
Open the Wi-Fi settings
Open the settings and tap Wi-Fi.
2. Select network wwu/eduroam
Tap the (i) behind the network wwu or eduroam.
3. Ignore the network
Tap Ignore this network.
4. Delete network
The network was deleted, if it was previously used. If it is not possible to remove the network, the network was probably set up by profile. In this case follow the instructions "If necessary: Remove existing profile".
If necessary: Remove existing profile
1. Open the Settings and tap General
Open the Settings and tap General.
2. Open profiles

6. Remove the profile
If necessary follow these steps also with the profile for the network wwu / eduroam. You can then proceed to set up the Wi-Fi.

(for example by typing) the corresponding profile must first be deleted before it can be installed again.
6. Entering the password for network access
Enter your password for network access and confirm with Next.
7. Complete the installation
Tap Done to complete the installation.
8. Connection to the WLAN
As soon as you reach the network of the University of Münster, you will now be automatically connected to the WLAN.
