University of Münster

The "Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster" (WWU) is one of the largest universities in Germany. It can look back on a long tradition: having been founded in the 1770s, its history, however, goes back even to the 16th century. During this time, university and city, knowledge and life have influenced each other in many ways.

Today, WWU offers excellent research and teaching as well as an attractive location: In 2004 Münster was awarded the most liveable city in the world with the international LivCom Award.

Central Facilities at WWU

Münster University offers a variety of facilities that take care of tasks in the areas of information, administration and service. We have compiled a selection of important topics and the relevant facilities that are or may be of interest for international doctoral students. This selection will help you to get oriented at university and to find the right contact point for all concerns as quickly as possible.
At Libraries, Administration and Service you will find a brief description of the relevant issues and facilities as well as contacts. For spatial orientation WWU's interactive map will help you.
