Getting mobile – Funding opportunities within the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions

Dept. 6.1 SAFIR – your research funding support at WWU Münster – is pleased to invite you to the information event „Getting mobile – Funding opportunities within the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions“ The event will inform on the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) within Horizon 2020, which aim at encouraging international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility for scientists from PhD candidates to highly experienced researchers. The funding is open to all scientific disciplines and topics. The event will focus on the four main types of MSCA Grants: •Innovative Training Networks (ITN) – funding of research networks for the education and qualification of early stage researchers •Research and Innovation Staff Exchanges (RISE) – funding of staff exchange for the enhancement of international and inter-sectoral cooperation •Co-funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND) – co-financing of research training or fellowships involving mobility to or from another country •Individual fellowships (IF) – funding of personal projects for experienced researchers (doctoral degree or research experience) undertaking mobility between countries, with the option to work outside academia Felix Beckendorf from the National Contact Point Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, DLR Project Management Agency, will present details on all mentioned programmes and share his broad experience on the MSCA from his consultancy practice. Subsequently Dr. Petra Pennekamp, Department of General Pediatrics at University Children's Hospital Muenster, will give insights into best practice and pitfalls within the grant proposal planning based on her practical view as an MSCA expert evaluator. Following the talks we invite you to discuss open points with the speakers and let the event come to an end with a cup of coffee in the AvH Foyer.
