Postdoctoral/Research Associate in the Study of Mitochondrial Dynamics
Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in
(full time, salary level E 13 TV-L)

The position is available immediately until 31 January 2023. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

The projects associated with this position will analyze the molecular functions of myosin XIX (Myo19), an actin-based molecular motor localized on mitochondria, in transgenic mice. Previous experience in either the analysis of transgenic mice, immunology, advanced methods of fluorescence microscopy (light sheet, super-resolution), transmission electron microscopy, or mitochondrial dynamics are required.

We are a dynamic and well equipped group. Candidates should hold a PhD degree in either immunology, biology or a related discipline and be highly motivated and able to advance a research project autonomously. The position is well suited for candidates that have just completed their PhD. An adequate contribution to the teaching obligations of the group is expected.
