Mathematics Münster at the University of Münster, Germany, is offering up to 10


Postdoctoral Positions
Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in
(salary level E13 TV-L, 100%)


in all fields of mathematics related to the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster: “Dynamics – Geometry – Structure”.

The postdoctoral positions are fixed-term for a period of three years. Successful candidates will be expected to start by October 2020. Currently, the regular working time for full (100%) employment is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. Teaching loads are no more than four hours per week and may vary depending on the source of funding.

Some of the positions are funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, some by the European Research Council grant “Amenability, Approximation and Reconstruction”, and some by the mathematical institutes of the University of Münster. The financial terms of the position remain consistent regardless of the funding source. The main selection criterion is scientific excellence.

Applications should contain a cover letter, CV, copies of degree certificates, a publication list and a research plan associated with one or two of the Cluster’s Research Areas. Applicants who have not yet completed their PhD are required to include a two-page outline of their dissertation project including their results up to now. Applicants should also nominate at least one potential postdoctoral mentor listed as an investigator for an appropriate research area at Mathematics Münster.
