Am Fachbereich für Mathematik und Informatik ist zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine
W2-Professur auf Zeit (befristet auf fünf Jahre) für Didaktik der Mathematik mit dem Schwerpunkt Primarstufe
zu besetzen.
Gesucht wird ein*e hervorragend ausgewiesene*r Wissenschaftler*in mit Forschungsschwerpunkt im Bereich der Primarstufe, die/der die Didaktik der Mathematik in Forschung und Lehre vertritt. Die/der Stelleninhaber*in soll die bestehenden Forschungsschwerpunkte am Institut für Didaktik der Mathematik und Informatik sinnvoll ergänzen sowie Drittmittelerfahrungen besitzen.
Die/Der Stelleninhaber*in ist vor allem für den Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang für das Lehramt an Grundschulen im Lernbereich II Mathematische Grundbildung zuständig, was die Mitwirkung in der Selbstverwaltung und die Abnahme von Prüfungen einschließt. Außerdem sollte die Bereitschaft zur Mitarbeit in der Lehre im Studiengang für das Lehramt an Haupt-, Real-, Sekundar- und Gesamtschulen vorhanden sein.
Voraussetzung für die Einstellung sind fundierte mathematische Kenntnisse, eine einschlägige Promotion und wissenschaftliche Leistungen im Bereich der Mathematikdidaktik, die im Rahmen einer Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter*in an einer Hochschule oder einer außeruniversitären Einrichtung oder im Rahmen einer wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung oder in einem anderen gesellschaftlichen Bereich im In- und Ausland erworben wurden. Weiterhin ist eine mehrjährige Unterrichtstätigkeit an Schulen oder an anderweitigen pädagogischen Einrichtungen wünschenswert.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Münster, Germany, seeks to fill the position of a
Temporary W2 professorship (limited to five years) in didactics of mathematics
with specialisation in primary schools
at the earliest possible date.
We are looking for an outstanding academic with research expertise in the area of primary school education to represent didactics in mathematics in research and teaching at our faculty. The prospective appointee should complement the existing research focuses at the Institute for Didactics of Mathematics and Computer Science and have experience with securing third-party financing.
The appointee will be primarily responsible for overseeing the bachelor’s and master’s teaching degree programmes for the primary-school level in the Subject Area II: Mathematical Fundamentals, which includes participating in self-administration and holding examinations. The candidate should be willing to teach courses in secondary-school teaching degree programmes for Haupt-, Real-, Sekundar- and Gesamtschulen.
The position requires sound mathematical knowledge, a relevant doctorate and additional academic achievements in didactics of mathematics acquired as a research associate at a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, industry, administration or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad. Preferably candidates should have several years of practical teaching experience at schools or other educational institutions.
