Postdoctoral Research Associate
(Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin/
Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter)
(Salary Level TV-L E13, 100%)

for a period of 3 years beginning 02 Nov 2020, with the possibility to extend the position for another 3-year period.

Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so.

Tasks will include

  • active research in palaeobotany and/or palynology
  • teaching (4 hours per week during semesters) in palaeobotany and/or palynology, potentially also with contributions to the general BSc and MSc curricula in geosciences
  • development and supervision of BSc and MSc projects

We are seeking an excellent, independent researcher with good communication skills who is willing and able to work in a team. A PhD in geosciences (or a related field) with a specialization in palaeobotany and/or palynology is required. Command of German is not a prerequisite; however, considering the teaching duties and student supervision, the willingness to acquire basic skills in spoken and written German is essential.
