The English Department in the Faculty of Philology (FB09) at the University of Münster, Germany, invites applications to fill the permanent post of a
Language Practice Instructor
(salary level 13 TV-L, 50%)
This position will start on 1 April 2019. Currently, the regular working time for full employment is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week.
The successful candidate will teach language practice courses within the bachelor degree programmes with a teaching capacity of 8 teaching hours per week.
Interested candidates should have adequate teaching aptitude and hold a relevant masters’ or university teaching degree (e.g. in language teaching/EFL or applied linguistics). A native or near-native level of English along with extensive teaching experience in language practice at the university level (grammar, vocabulary, writing, pronunciation) are further prerequisites for the position. Candidates should also be willing to carry out and cooperate in academic administrative tasks. Knowledge of and experience in developing curricula, developing teaching material, and creating and correcting exams in various formats are also desired.
