In the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Bähler, Institute of Molecular Cell Biology, Westfalian Wilhelms-University Münster, there is an opening for a talented

starting Mai 1st, 2018 or later. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so. Teaching load is 4 hours per week per semester for a full-time position. The position is available initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension. Projects analyze the molecular functions of different myosins, actin-based molecular motors, in epithelial bending, cell migration and mitochondria segregation during mitosis. Previous experiences in either advanced methods of fluorescence microscopy, the analysis of transgenic mice or mitochondrial dynamics are required. Candidates should hold a PhD degree in either biology, biophysics or physical chemistry and be highly motivated to advance autonomously a research project. We are a dynamic and well equipped group. An adequate participation in teaching obligations of the group is expected.
