The Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology (IBBP, Faculty of Biology) of the University of Münster invites applications for a
Post-doc position as coordinator of a new Master Programme in the field of Plant Sciences (3 years, salary level TV-L E13, 100%)

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative person who enjoys organizing as well as teaching, and interacting with students and faculty members. Your goal will be to develop a programme for around 20 to 30 Master students per year in close coordination with the faculty members working in the field of Plant Sciences. These include Plant Physiology/Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Biodiversity, as well as Biotechnology. For further information on the faculty, see: and
Your tasks
You will design, develop, and teach new advanced courses (lectures, seminars, practical courses) for a new Master Programme together with all faculty members working on plants. You will proactively organize and coordinate meetings to bring the faculty members together and shape this programme. You will actively contact other Master Programme coordinators of international universities for exchange of experience and on teaching skills. Further tasks will include updating the homepage, designing flyers, related administrative tasks, outreach to the public, and coordination of a lecture series. The teaching load is four hours per week (4 SWS).
Your qualifications
You hold a doctoral degree in Biology or Biotechnology with proven expertise in Plant Sciences. Experience in teaching, coordination (e.g. conference organization), and web design is desirable. Besides effective (self)organization, excellent interpersonal communications skills are essential. Flexibility regarding your work schedule and fluency in English and German are mandatory. International post-doc experience will be an advantage.
