Vegetationsökologie der Arktis

Forschungsschwerpunkt ist die syntaxonomische Klassifikation und Kartierung der Vegetation Grönlands und der nordamerikanischen Arktis als Grundlage für das allgemeine Verständnis der Variation der zirkumpolaren arktischen Vegetation in ökologischer und chorologischer Sicht. Internationale Expeditionen wurden in Nord- und Südostgrönland (1995) und in Alaska (1996) durchgeführt. Es wurde an zwei Workshops des Internationalen Circumpolar Arctic Vegetation Mapping Projektes teilgenommen.
