EXIST Research Transfer
Aim of the EXIST research transfer program is the advancement of scientific results towards an economical exploitation.
In the research transfer project "Refined Laser Systems" low-cost and user-friendly laser systems are developed, which are widely (750 – 1550 nm) and rapidly (5 ms per wavelength step) tunable in wavelength. A rapid wavelength tunability is especially required for applications in nonlinear microscopy in order to extract, e.g., from a complex tissue sample, as much as possible complementary information. Due to the maintenance-free fiber-based setup, , the laser systems will be usable in a variety of clinical as well as industrial environments.
The project “Refined Laser System” is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and by the European Social Fund within the framework of the EXIST program.
