Process engineer- Nanoanalytics

Regular working hours are 39 hours 50 minutes per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Maintain and support the continuous and cutting-edge operation of analytical instruments such as SEM, SNOM, AFM, and FIB
  • Verify and ensure user compliance with facility regulations
  • Training and knowledge transfer to facility users
  • Development and customization of new recipes in collaboration with the research groups
  • Support researchers with planning of a new fabrication processes
  • Support installation of new instruments

Your profile:

  • Education:
    • a master's degree (FH/University) in the field of micro/nanotechnology, physics, material science or similar field
    • OR a bachelor's degree (FH/University) with at least three years of relevant industrial experience
  • Previous experience working in technical cleanrooms, preferably in research
  • Expertise in electron microscopy; prior experience with focused ion beam or electron beam lithography is a plus
  • Experience with process development of nano -or microstructures
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of technical systems, especially cleanroom devices
  • A strong team player with good organizational skills
  • Good English communication skills

Additional skills:

  • Experience with wet and dry etching
  • Experience with thin film deposition methods such as e-beam evaporation, PECVD, ALD, Sputtering
  • Experience with photolithography
  • Knowledge of German
