First part of a fundamental introduction to materials physics (Obligatory course in the module of specialization ”Materials Physics”).
Content: Atomic structure and interatomic bonding, Structure of crystalline Solids, Imperfections in Solids, Diffusion, Mechanical properties of solids, Dislocations and Strengthening Mechanisms, Failure, Phase diagrams, Phase Transformations, Applications
As a complement an obligatory exercise is offered, which will be managed in the same Learnweb space as the lecture series.
