Contents
Description Ein verteiltes System ist eine Menge voneinander unabhängiger Computer und ihrer Software, die dem Benutzer wie ein einzelnes, kohärentes System erscheinen.
Beispiele sind: das World Wide Web, ein Universitäts-Netzwerk aus PCs, oder ein SAP-Informationssystem für Arbeitsabläufe. Die Vorlesung wird grundlegende Prinzipien, formale Modelle und moderne Implementierungstechniken für verteilte Systeme vermitteln.
Die geplanten Themen sind: Prozesse und Kommunikation, Namensgebung, Synchronisierung, Konsistenz und Replikation, Fehlertoleranz, sowie Sicherheit.
Praktische Aspekte werden begleitend in den Übungen behandelt.

Vorlesungstermin: Dienstag 16:00 - 18:00 (erste Vorlesung am 13.04.)
Übungstermin: Mittwoch 16:00 - 18:00 (erste Übung am 14.04.)
Prerequisites Vordiplom oder Zulassung zur Teilnahme an Veranstaltungen des Hauptstudiums
Certificates Durch Bearbeitung der Übungsaufgaben und Bestehen der Abschlussklausur
Target Group Die Veranstaltung ist folgenden Prüfungsleistungen zugeordnet:
