During yet another U.S. presidential campaign, this seminar, which can also be taken as a class in the language module, wants to take a look at the view of the American presidency and specific U.S. presidents in various types of films and during different time periods. The class will also evaluate ways in which historians can use films as a source, in this case both for the U.S. presidency and for the views of the presidency over time.To be able to look at some of the movies in more detail, the seminar will run for four hours each week, for which, in turn, the presentations and term papers will be slightly shorter than usual. |
