Description

The focus of this seminar is on imparting practical knowledge in elite badminton sport settings. Students have been exposed to fundamental aspects of guiding, controlling, and evaluating physical training in sport groups in general (elite and health) by attending the basic seminar S1. Practical field observation in elite badminton settings, measurements as well as interventions can be part of this applied seminar. Students will be exposed to physical training and competition environments in elite sports in which concepts of training and interventions are experienced on a practical and reflected basis.

This is a blockseminar.

There will be a first meeting to organize the seminar shortly after the beginning of the semester.

Two or three more sessions to prepare and evaluate the observation/results will be scheduled before and after the field trips.

Two field trips are at the center of the seminar:
- visit of a tournament/training session of the Bundesliga club FC Union Lüdinghausen
- visit to the high-performance national training center of the German national badminton team in Mülheim/Ruhr

The dates for these field trips will also be coordinated with the coaches and students that signed up for the seminar.
