> Special programs for law students – ITM

The concentration is equally concerned with civil and public law matters related to modern communication technology. The combined grade for the concentration contributes 30 % to the overall grade in the first German state exam.

During the course of the program students have to take seven written exams and parcitipate in one seminary.

  • 3 compulsory exams: Copyright Law, Information Law and Press and Broadcasting Law
  • 3 exams in electives accredited for the ITM concentration (e.g. Unfair competition law, data protection law etc.)
  • 1 “Grundlagenfach”, E.g. Philosophy of Law, Sociology of Law etc.
  • 1 Seminary including a written thesis and an oral presentation.

Students completing the concentration are awarded a certificate showing that they have also fulfilled the requirements of the additional qualification in information, telecommunication and media law.

We kindly ask to also consult the examination regulations which are legally binding in any case.

If you are a current or former student and have complaints about any of the courses or the organization of the concentration, feel free to contact Professor Hoeren (Hoeren@uni-muenster.de). Moreover, complaints can be submitted to Jonas Völkel (mailanjonas@yahoo.com ) and Marie Kruse  (mariekruse@rocketmail.com) who represent the students of the concentration.
