Guidelines for doctoral studies at the University of Münster

The guidelines (available only in German) were drawn up by the Steering Committee (Council) of the WWU Graduate Centre. The Rectorate Committee for Junior Researchers and the Rectorate of the University of Münster have approved the guidelines.

Doctoral degrees

It is possible to obtain a doctoral degree in each of the disciplines available at the University of Münster, be it as an individual doctorate or in a structured doctoral study programme. The doctoral degree will be awarded by the University of Münster's respective faculty. Each faculty sets its own specific requirements and admission prerequisites, which may be found in the faculty's doctoral regulations (Promotionsordnung).
