Abstract: The twist construction is a geometric realisation of T-duality. It can be used to construct a number of interesting geometric structures in complex and hypercomplex geometry. Recent developments show that various constructions of metrics with special holonomy may be reinterpreted as twist constructions leading to new variants of those constructions.
